Alot of the veterans that I worked with when I used to be at the dealership would swear by the ATF method versus the engine flush machines, Seafoam, and all that other stuff we are using now. To each their own I guess.

Every time I have seen anyone use seafoam in an engine it did damage.....

You did not have a bearing knock b/c it would not go away.....

I ticking lifter maybe. 1,000 miles is way too much. I would never drive it with a load on it like that. She probly blow up soon.....sorry

Can you elaborate on this a little bit... details.
I have done it several times and haven't had any apparent damage.

I've tried the Seafoam method once, didn't have any issues with it. I have heard of people doing some damage though, not sure if they poored too much or too quickly.

giving an update, car still runs fine. but the knock ended up coming back haha but to this day the engine runs fine, oil pressure is fine, virtually no leaks, acceleration, idle and everything is fine. still have that annoying knock, tap w/e you wanna call it, and it only starts after the engine warms up past 160* and i think it goes up with the rpm through 2000 or 2500 rpm then seems to vanish or it just gets too fast to hear anymore idk lol but everything is alright to this day
