Guys who change injectors.........

I got a set of Bosch 30# injectors and was looking at the difference between the Bosch and the stock ones. The Bosch ones appear to be a lil longer and got that extra plastic tips on the end that goes into the manifold. It looks like it would impeded airflow. Anyone know if these will do? I was told the Bosch ones fit.

Are you sure the plastic caps aren't for protection during shipping?

Aw cummon man...gimma some credit. Buildin my own motor I know a plastic cover when I see one. ahahahha. anyway no..I'm talking about the nipple part. The stock injector doesn't have it. Here look there just flat on both sides the stock ones.

The pintle style injectors (Bosch, Denso, FMS, SVO, etc) are prone to "carbonizing" the tip where the pintle sticks out. The little plastic caps help shield the tip from the heat of an open intake valve on shutdown. If you look at the way the injector sits in the intake manifold, the tip does not stick down into the air runner. Look at the upper left part of this picture and you can see where the tip of the stock injector sits, about 1/4 - 3/8" away from the runner.
