my bro has a 94 Z and he has 3.73's but hasnt gotten his car programmed for the gears. on the 2-3 shift it hits the rev-limiter and he has to get off the pedal. my question is since the trans isnt programmed, can he just manually shift at the track without hitting the lmiter? thanks in advance

Nope. Sorry, if it hits the rev-limiter in drive, it will do the same manually shifting it. When the tranny's are stock, even if you hold it out in gear, it will shift itself. Atleast mine did. Get it programmed and hopefully that is the extent of the problem.

I had that same problem..

turned out my tranny was going bad

It pegged the rev limiter at WOT....

took about 1 yr for the tranny to totally start slipping especially in 4th gear.
