02 sims are not going to help. They do not adjust the A/F ratio thats the front 02's that take care of that the rears only tell if the cats are bad. 02 sims only simulate that the cats are working fine to stop the computer from throwing a code

No need for the sims. I have them deleted out with LT1 edit...all they do is throw a code if deleted, thus the "simulation".

Properly tuned, the fuel smell should be minimal. I only notice mine when I start it in the garage to pull it out, or after pulling it into the garage. Put 5 gallons of VP Fuel C-16 in there though, and it will bring tear (of joy ) to your eyes.......

yeah but in Texas on my 97 with the rear 02's tuned out you fail inspection when they check the computer. They don't sniff 96 and up here but you cannot have any codes nor can the 02 sensors be tuned out, so it's 80 bucks well spent for me. As for smell it's not anything I notice.....I go too fast with the longtubes and not cats ....seriously no cats here but no fuel smell problems either.
