Question Guys with Headers inside please, ? about wires

What kind of wires are you running with your Mac Headers? Right now i have some MSD's on there and looks like i need to replace them. I dont know if i should stay the same or run OVC wires? A shop recommended me to do OVC wires since i have headers, what do you guys think?

Also I have some NGK Tr-55 plugs gapped at .055, is that fine or too much? Thanks

I have the OVC wires and they are great! Everytime I read about someone with MAC Headers, they have the OVC wires, or they eventually go to them. It's a good setup dude!

I assume you mean hard to cut/crimp?

Lately I've been responding to threads where people say they are having problems getting the boot on. Here's how to do it VERY easily!
  1. Put all the wires on the plugs, route them through the OVC holders.
  2. Take a corresponding wire to its desination terminal on the opti, give yourself a shade more slack, and mark it with a pen.
  3. Cut the wire up top where you marked it off
  4. Strip the wire
  5. Take the silicone gel that came with the wires and coat the wire.
  6. Spray SILICONE SPRAY on the inside of the opti boot you're about to put on
  7. Slide the opti boot on (goes on VERY easily this way)
  8. Bend the exposed wire back over the wire, place opti terminal over wire.
  9. Crimp terminal. This takes a bit of practice, make sure you get it on nice and tight so it won't slide off. You only have 1 extra terminal if you screw one up (assuming you don't cut your own Coil Wire).
  10. Slide boot to almost cover terminal, leaving about 1cm exposed.
  11. Clip terminal onto opti.
  12. Continue to next wire, repeat steps 2-11 7 more times. =)

Hope this helps!

i had accel 9000 wires or whatever, but got new stock delcos when i put the headers on. theyre routed "normally", a few tie wraps here and there, but have done just fine for a little over a year now. i might do otvc wires next time though, not sure cause i find they clutter things up a bit from the top (+ they d cover my nice chrome vc's ) jmo
