guys with LT4 heads & 383's ????

I'm trying to order my rotating assembly for my 383.
I'm running into a problem with the pistons and I think I'm going to need to have some custom made.

I have a new 4 bolt block that has been bored .020
I'm using 54cc LT4 heads, I had planned on running a 11:1 compression.
No one seems to make a piston for a 3.75 stroke, .020 over, with a -12cc dish. I was planning on using JE Extreme duty pistons.
I will be using nitrous probably up to a 200 shot

What kind of compession are you guys running and what kind of pistons?

Thanks
Tom

For a 200 shot, you will be fine with any of JE's forged pistons. Even 300 probably, just get the hellfire rings with them. 11:1 compression will be fine. Have you tried calling any places and having them check on pistons for you? I always find that shops have a much larger database then their websites or even JE's website has. You dont need the stroke for the piston selection, just the rod length.

Thanks for the replys

I've just looked on their websites and the catologs. I went down to the shop ordering my parts for me and they didn't mention that they have more but thats a good idea.
They are calling them on Monday and I think I'll do the same.
How long does it take to get custom pistons made?

Also, when I called JE they asked me if my car was a street strip car and I told them yes. They told me to run their SRP piston
but I think I want something a little better. The JE pistons look stronger at teh bottom of the skirt and have more design like the gas holes and thicker tops.

I'm just curious to see if anyone else has ran into this problem.
I figured there has to be a few people with .020 blocks running LT4 heads.
