guys with jet hot long tubes inside please
I have a buddy with a 93 Z he wants some Long tubes for I have hookers on mine but I can't seem to find a price on the Jet Hot headers. But how are you guys likeing them so far. Any fitment issues or anything that I should know of. Plus I heard they have a good Y pipe is there much truth to that?

i am planning on getting jet hot lts in the future, and from what i have read, the jet hots are the exact same design as the hookers. They just use thicker steel for strength, and come with the Jet Hot coating. I saw them for $505 somewhere on the net the other day.
I belive board members were saying that http://www.mascperformance.com who is a supporting advertiser has some GREAT prices on Jet Hot Long Tubes. I personaly orded my LT's and their Y-pipe also, all coated and i got away with $740 shipped. They have some awsome prices and are running speicals all the time.
At www.fbodycentral.com they have Jet Hot lt's for $510 thats where I am going to get mine. I don't know what the shipping cost is though.
I got mine directly from Jet Hot for 565.00 shipped with emmissions welded on. As far as fitment............when installing them it can get some what difficult to put them in but with enough time and patients they should go right in. after they are installed(at least for me) the passenger side header comes REALLY close to the K member and that causes the car to vibrate alot but it is solved by shaving the k member or sticking heat resistant tape in between. I have some ground clearance problems with the headers and the y pipe scraping but only in certain areas. I hade my y pipe made by a muffler shop for 150.00 IMO thats alot better than paying 250+ for a hooker or jet hot one. I have pics in my cardomain site(page 2)

Looking at what other paid I guess I was robbed
I paid $595 from Jet-Hot direct (including shipping). Another $24 was needed for two air-tube adapters. This is only required on 97 model cars I believe. I got a y-pipe from Summit for $199.
The headers were great quality and fit well. The Y-pipe was a POS and I ended out having a custom Y made at a local shop. Install for all was accomplished at home and took about 20 hours total. There were other costs too.... $50 in gaskets, $90 in O2 simulators, $5 in wiring and zip-ties, and $10 in medical adhesive wrap to install the headers without scratching the coating
.
Looking back on the whole project, I probably would not do it again. I gained 3mph in trap speed at the track. On the down side, the car was MUCH louder and had a lot of vibration that resonated at idle and around 30mph. The passanger side header bolts needed constant retorquing.... at least once every two weeks. I used Stage 8 lockbolts, but the locks only work if the bolt head is precisely aligned with the header primary tube. It's much easier said than done. The car sounded flat out bada$$ on the highway or over 40mph. It sounded the same at WOT at any speed. It really seemed to scare people next to her at traffic lights.
If you get the Jet-hot LT's I recommend putting a small dent in the rearmost passanger primary tube to allow for extra wrench clearance. It's a tight fit for even a sawed off or stubby wrench between the primary tube and the EGR fitting. You'll save yourself a lot of headaches later on if you do this.
Hope this info is of some help.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I have a few more ?'s on the 93 what is the best thing to do about the O2 sensor? I read a little bit on it where they are converting to a heated O2. This car will have N20 on it come spring time.
Plus on the Y-pipe should He just get the uncoated one I read alot of problems with it leaking if not welded up. (heck it is under the car)..Plus it's not like the Jethot coating last more than a year in a daily driver.
