Guideplates Install

I'm in the process of switching from self-aligning rockers to NSA's. Got any special tips to make sure the guideplates are aligned properly? Seems like their position can vary just a little.

What kind of guidplates did you buy? I got the gmpp guidplates from the dealer and the align the rocker on the valve stem perfectly. I did try edelbrocks on before and the were misaligned, so it all depends on what plate you bought.

I got the TrickFlow guideplates. Looks like I got them aligned pretty well. Did a search, and someone said to push them down toward the header side and tighten.

I cut them in half, lined up on the valves, then used duc tape to hold them. Remove and reweld. Or, you can buy linear adjustable types from Isky. Check their web site.
