guideplate wear..is it normal?

guideplate wear..is it normal?

i have a small wear mark on each of my guideplates in one spot where the pushrod rubbed in one spot....is that normal?-Mark

well im about to swap out some .060 hardend ones for .080 comp hi-techs... and idontwant to ruin them or my motor.

As long as you're not having major digging into the guideplate you're fine. The pushrod has to bounce off the guideplate to stay aligned so there will be some slight wear.
