Exclamation Grinding/Vibration from car when you accelerate hard!!

This is not DooSPX, I am a friend of his and he told me to ask this question on the CZ28.com board. I hope you all can help me.

Well i just put in the new rear-end in my car, and i went over everything 5 times to make sure it was right, and tight. When i launched the car out of 1st, and on the 1-2 shift (I have a shift kit) it makes this bad "rubbing noise" and vibration. I am thinking maybe tranny mount has split or maybe the DS yoke. Most of the time it sounds, and feels like it is coming from the tranny. Any info and/or opinions are welcome. Please Help.

THANKS

car type? "new rear" what does that mean? what gears do you have? did you break in the rear? is it a new posi unit?

i'd check all your mounts though like youmentioned...

The rear end is out of a friends 95 3.4 that she wrecked with only 30K on it. it has 3.23's open diff. I broke my old one on the track... the track was slick and it grabbed in second and all I heard was "CRACK", I snapped the axle on my old one. I have that 3.23 rear, WS6 DS, Shift Kit, and LT1 stlye OEM Ram Air.

I was thinking the rear yoke, or the Tranny mount.

16.3x on a stock motor 3.4 w/ 146K on the clock. Pontiac OEM Ram Air (LT1 WS6), WS6 DS, Flow Master 80 series muffler (professionaly welded, High Flow CatCo CAT, Trans Pak Street/strip Shift kit. (soon to have all Corvette Servos, better 1-2, 2-3, and kick down band, Trans Cooler) All on bald ****ty 225/55/16 coopers. with 2.3 60's (no traction from a 1200 rpm foot stall launch.)

sounds like the gears got an imperfect interface... in my experiance (gone through 3 of em) tranny mounts biggest symptom is a violent bang from underneith the console when you hit the gas hard from a stop or near stop... if you experiance that... its your tranny mount but they don't make grinding noises... ever..
