I had to cut my first cam's pin (CC306). Just butt it up against your factory cam,t/c end to t/c end and mark the difference. I used a dremel with a diamond cut off wheel, took like 30 secs. or sumin like that. Not for sure what the deal with length's being off from year to year but my LE2 cam was the correct length from CC

Comp Cams recommends checking the length of the dowel pin and you should, no matter if it is supposed to be the right length or not. That's just part of doing a cam install correctly.

Thank you for all your advise
I went ahead and used a grinder to shave it down. I chamfered the edges with a file to look something like the stock cam.
I can't wait to get this cam in and get it back together.
