Granatelli 2

Ok for all those "Do a Search"..I did but my question is a bit different....

I have a Crapatelli MAF that is tuned for CAI's...does this thing really work? Do the Granatelli's actualy make 10-15 hp on our cars? As I was reading the old post I read about how the stock Computer corrects the leaned out fuel so the gains of the Crapatelli are minimum. Is that true? I've also noticed that Crapatelli's offer differen't tuning now. Like thier completely different from the old ones. Does my CAI tuned Crapatelli make more HP than the older models? could it be that the new crapatelli's don't have that PCM problem anymore and actually provide 10-15hp?..or am I just F34KED from the gate and should sell this junk and get the Scorpions I want so bad?

What I want

What are your opinions?

it all comes down to MAF is not a restriction till 600 or so horse, the stocker one is fine, i seriously doubt much if any at all gain with the granatelli, and i think you need to jump off the bandwagon why 1.7 rollers? no plans for a cam in the future? id stick with 1.6's

I wasn't necessarily going with the 1.7's now as someone pointed out they suck with agressive street cams...I'm going back to school again soon and I'm trying to ge as much done before I get stuck with no garage. I've decided on the Scorpion 1.6's though.

Everyone talks bad about the Grenatelli MAF's, but personally I like them. I have seen cases where they have given up to 15 rwhp to a stock car. That's at the wheels! The only bad thing I've heard of them is they mess with automatic transmissions. Well, I have had mine for over a year and it hasnt caused any tranny problems with my car.

Since all a MAF does is estimate (and truly that is what it does with 02's taking final precedence) air flow, I do not see where a new MAF can do anything.

For those who have experienced an increase on the dyno, what was the car driving like before? what happened after the car had a chance to "learn" the new MAF? Is any of this documented to create a true before and after look?
