Got a two part question about my MAF

First off my car is giving a MAF failure code but I know its not the sensor cause we put it on my friends car and no code. Will this MAF failure cause the timing to be off at low rpm driving and backfire slightly and idle like crap? I still havent been able to get my car to idle even with the MADZ28 tune.

Secondly can I get parts to rebuild my MAF sensor connector? Thanks

rebiuld the connector? yes, with the right tools you can. be carefull about using crimp style connectors on the wireing tho. they ahve a tendency of changing the resistence.

whats the code being thrown? you can read up on some of the tests and functions of the MAF here

I dont remember the exact code ..it was thirty-six or somtething close to that. When the car was running I could push on the side of the connector and the car would die so I figured it was time to rewire more or less but I need to find some new terminals instead of trying to pry open the old ones
