Ok well discovered it the other day. It only squeeks when in drive and sounds like its comming from underneath the car at a STOP only. When in nuetral it goes away, but only in drive i hear it.

You think it could be the tranny/stall?


Any ideas would be great.

Your symtoms narrow it down to about 100 things. Be more specific and you will get more responses. DOes it sound like its coming from the engine? Is it on a complete stop?

 

Does it happen at shifts moreso...
Check for coolant and a leaking waterpump...

 

Sqeaks are hard to track, on my car I had this really weird one that wouldnt go away, turns out it was a seat bolt. You never know.

 

like i said, its comming from underneath the car at a stop in D. nothing else, but goes away when i start driving.

 

Loose exhuast bolt, Bad motor mount? Other possiblities I can think of, Torque Convert, Driveshaft rubbing, Trans mount, Serpt belt. Hope this helps

 

dont think its the exhaust bolts. Motor mount......ehh ive looked at those things plenty of times and they are still good, TC im thinking it might be it. Im going to have to put the car on a lift and check it out.

 

sounds like the exhaust to me
