the check engine recently came on and i got code p0410 . i am wanting to change the air pump but before i do should i check the pump to see if the pump still works i mean can it also be an electrical problem right??

 

Check the fuse first. If it keeps blowing your AIR pump is probably on its way out (covered by a factory TSB IIRC).

P0410 is specifically for lack of air flow when the PCM cycles the AIR pump and the O2 sensors do not show a lean condition. P0412 would set for a blown fuse. You could have a melted hose or a stuck check valve. Or could be a faulty pump.
