and FWIW, what I have been reading notes that LT headers will typically pull better down low, whereas shorties are high RPM headers. The main reason people note such a difference with LT's is they just got back a chunk of what they lost (or didn't gain) on the bottom by going with a big cam/higher RPM setup or shorty headers. Since noone drives there car around at 4k RPM, its more noticeable.

2 Things I Noticed

1. Because you have a stall converter, that takes some of the hp #'s in your dyno.

2. You at least need a cutout. You need somthing to let that exhaust flow with minimum restriction. And most mufflers are going to do so, especially a flowmaster, due to the chambers. So get a cutout, dont waste the money on a catback, because what if it doesnt help out much. Thats $300 down the drain.

Or....... dissconnect your catback from your y-pipe, and run your car that way.

I dont see anything wrong. I was able to tune to a rich 340 with the set up in the sig. 105 is about right, i am in the 111 range on a good day after some more on track tuning (leaning it out).

And the debate of the LTs, someone donate me some shorties and y and i will pull with the LTs and the shorties and see the difference. My money is that not much difference on track or dyno.

I bet those heads aren't what you think they are thats all.

On the side note, 1 3/4 headers will make more power then 1 5/8, shorty headers will pull better up top then long tubes because the longer primaries build tq not HP, dont' want to go into it again, read my previous posts.

I have no stall convertor, as I don't have an A4. It was swapped to a six speed before coming into my possession.

I will not be going the cutout route. I really think that the flowmaster piping in the cat-back has a lot of restriction in it, and the 52MM TB could only help. The heads are from a very reputable person according to the previous owner, and should be fine. From what I've seen, a ported head/hotcam setup usually sits between 350-370 dependent on setup. I'm not screaming for a ton more power, just trying to figure if I can get it above the 355-360 mark. The heads are working as the TQ shows that in itself.
