got my new exhaust setup i wanted in...

well i got in a whole new exhaust i ordered, pacesetter LTs,offroad y pipe, gmmg chambered exhaust and 2 pypes mini cats. i got the cats so i can pass inspection, but i think i might have a problem. was planning on getting a shop to cut the y pipe and weld in the cats, but the y pipe is 3" and the cats have 2 1/2" opening ( i think thats what it is) , either way, its alot smaller, is this gonna be a problem or can the shop get some kind of adapters. the cat itself is 3",so is the smaller opening and exit gonna be restrictive being smaller? dunno if what i am saying is confusing, but that was alot of money and i want to make sure it all works together well

Run 3 - 21/2 adapters. And yes their may be a small restriction in flow but nothing to write home about.

If it is a 3" cat then it will have a 3" opening. Shouldn't be 2.5" but if it is it wont make a huge difference. Have them flanged so you can take them out and put them back in as desired. That exhaust is going to sound sweet!

You will have a nice sounding and looking exhaust setup once you get the cat issue sorted out.

yea they already responded, should get the echange done in about a week i think. And one question, do i need O2 extensions for the front O2s, or would they just be the rears?

You will need 02 harness extensions for the front two 02 sensors. Since you are running the Pacesetter off-road y-pipe, it does not have 02 bungs for the rear 02 sensors for the simple fact that the y-pipe was designed without cats. You can do away with the rear 02 sensors altogether by using either 02 simulators which can be purchased through Thunder Racing or some of the other online retailers for about 90 bucks for the pair, or you can have the rear 02s tuned out of your PCM.
