Your numbers and those pics look great. Those heads should perform well, mine didn't flow as good as yours, and I still put down decent numbers. I don't see any issue with putting down some good numbers and passing smog. Good Luck!!

Thanks for the well wishes. Hopefully I will have some numbers soon.

[QUOTE=MeanGreen97Z;5378497]Well I went CC502. I had a CC501 but decided to upgrade. Almost tried for a CC503 but I didn't want to push it. I like the idea of the cam being tame enough that you cant really hear it at idle.

You'll still hear this cam, still hit's and is a very good cam. I ran 12.4's with this cam, cam only...

I think it will be very hard to hit 11's with your setup. It would take a nasty 60 foot and the ability to drive the stick flawlessly. The CC502 is still a tad on the small side. You would also have to lose some weight. I say your easy mid 12's. Maybe I am wrong.

If you had some more cam or NOS then things would really change. Why did you go wit the CC502 anyway? That cam is a good bit smaller than the LE1 in terms of duration and lift.

Well if a stock heads car going 12.4... I'm sure with everything I'll done I can go faster.

I'll probably throw a little nitrous at it too. It's got forged pistons. I wanted it to be tame. I've heard this cam can be made to be unheard. Passing emissions is a issue of mine.

I am not saying you cant do it. I am just saying you will have to claw and scratch to do it without a bigger cam or power adder even under perfect conditions.

If emissions are a concern then you are severely cam limited, thats for sure. You do know that LE has an emissions compliant LE1 cam that has put down some great numbers? It is a tad smaller than the standard LE1 but has the benefits of a good custom cam with modern lobes.

I spect you will be making 365-375 RWHP SAE.

You have higher hp expectations than I do. Thanks!

I figure with the weight lost during my swap and all the things I plan on doing to the car... I can get 350rwhp and low 12s. Some high 11s would make me a happy guy though!

You'll have to tin can the car if you want those kind of ET's out of 350rwhp. Good luck.

A little nitrous was in the plans, so I'm sure I can get there. I'm not sure if I am going to go ALL out on the bolt ons but one thing is for certain... I've started to rethink the cam.

Possible jump to a CC306 or GM847. Not sure yet.

looks like you've got good mods to put that power to the ground, you should run great times.

If you are thinking CC306 or GM847 you can kiss your emissions goodbye. I though you stated that was important to you.

That said if you get either of those cams you will be picking up noticeable power over the CC502. That cam IMHO is a waste considering what you have already invested and what the heads and intake are now much more capable of flowing. The smallest cam that should have been considered from the get go would be a CC503 again IMHO.

You should really talk to LE about a custom cam that is engineered to work wit the heads you now have. The LE1 cam should out perform the CC503 and the LE2 WILL outperform the CC306. And again if you want emissions then consider the LE1 emissions cam. Get it right the first time.

I spect the LE2 cam with a great tune, great driver, great hook will be 12 flat high 11's without the juice.
Call Lloyd today, he will discuss with you in depth the cam options that best fit your needs.

That's not really outperforming a 306/ported heads combo on a good running car. The CC306 cam, even though several years old is still a great grind as long as it's paired up with a set of quality ported heads. Perhaps MeanGreen, being from TX should know several of the f-body peoples from the past who've had GTP/306 combos which ran with great success. I think it's safe to say if you were to put a 306 cam with LE heads it would run just as well if not better than the cam that comes with the LE2 package.

eh i dunno about that...

I'm not a big fan of the cc306 tho.

That being said.. there's alot of low expectations running around here.

I'd expect the 365 rwhp range, with the heads flowing that well and the 5 extra cubes and slightly over stock compression it should hit that number.
