Well i got my heads done. I gasket matched them. I then had Auto rons in davenport, IA Do the valve job and has them shaved .010". Can i still get away with the impala head gaskets and a performance tune from madz28 on 93 octane with no ping??

 

Yes if they can nail the tune, I had a simular set-up about 10 years ago on my 93 and it was hard getting rid of the part throttle knock, but tuning did it, and I was on 91 octane.

 

Sweet. Was that on a 350? If so what did it run in the 1/4 and what all was done to it. Im trying to figure what mine will run (but mines in an S-10)

 

Yes it was a 350, I did bowl work as well and had a CC305 cam w/1.6s (full exhaust, 3000 stall,3.73s) Its best was a 12.29 @ 112 mph if I remember correctly (Slip not handy) but the mph may have been different.

 

wow that is like the same exact setup that im going to be runing. I also did bowlwork. Except ill be running 3.42 gears. Id love to get a 12.5 out of mine.
