Got my coolin fans working now oil pressure gauge doesnt...

My fan fuse has been blowing like 30 secs after i start the engine. I've also been having a hesitation happen sometime during takeoff. So today after washing my car I was wiping the engine bay out and forgot that when i done the egr and a.i.r delete i didnt take the valve off the back of the intake manifold. So I unplugged the harness for the valve just to see if that was what was throwing the ses light. Sure enough it was, no more ses light. I let the car run for a min or so to see if the fans would come on and not blow the fuse and it didnt and the fans worked perfect. So on my way home i notice that my oil pressure gauge isnt working now. So to my main question. Can i use a paperclip or capacitor to trick the pcm into thinking my egr valve is working right so my oil pressure gauge will be back to working? What did you guys who did the egr delete do to your hanging harness to the valve? Oh yea, for the time being i just have the small tubes coming out of the egr vavle plugged until my blockoff plates come in.

The EGR does not have anything to do with your oil pressure. My thoughts are that you did something to the connection to the oil pressure sending unit, since it is right there by the EGR valve.

You removed the EGR valve and put no block off plate on the back of the manifold? How can your car run (or run very well) with that big hole in the back of the manifold?

No i left the valve on for now and just plugged the tubes coming out of it until my blockoff plates get here. Hmm, i'll look around there and see if maybe a harness was loose or something for the oil gauge and i knocked it off. I dont think i did but its worth a check. Exactly where is the oil pressure sending unit?

The sensor is just under the EGR. Make sure you have blocked the vacuum that is coming FROM the manifold. Once you do that, there is no reason to block anything else. If you block it at the manifold source, that is all you have to do.
