I have read here and there people diagnosing fuel problems with "the fuel pump is going bad." Is this true? Can a fuel pump slowly go bad? I was always under the impression that it is either working or it isn't. Someone please clear up my ignorance.

 

with my experience it works then goes bad, and then after that it dosnt work

the "going bad" part for me had the long cranking time during starts.
