hey dickstrip oh i mean deckstripe, I had already bought the antifreeze and was gonna give him $40 to do it. and I saw this guy spill crap all over my engine compartment. Careless and I dont expect the shop manager to buy the part, I expect the mech. to bc the way he handled it. and the comment on SHEP was a freakin JOKE...I would have thought you to catch on to that considering I said he was a "ex pro seatle seahawk offensive linemen and that we were close friends...." COMON I know your not that Ignorant...geeez i think hawk is the only one that got the joke.

and heatmaker. who said anything about my dad owning the shop? and how did ya get that name? spending to much time in the boys locker room i bet

this is one of the funniest threads ive read in a long time. If your opti does not fix up on its own in a few days (after it dries), then you can buy a used on off ebay or an f-body parts store, or even off this site in the parts for sale section. And get that mechanic to install it for free cuz he screwed it up. If he agrees to do the install, i think you have yourself a deal.

as You stated yourself....

And I'll refrain from responding to your adolescant comments... I can't take a guy who can't flush his own radiator out seriously...

Maybe your friend Shep life partner possibly? can come over and help you swap out your optical spark...I mean since your so fond of him and he protects you when ever someone gives you trouble...sounds like he has deep feelings for you... and you for him I wish you both the best of luck in life.

BTW you have nice bike though just wondering if your ride Shep around on the back of that thing... as you cruise the town looking for trouble.

BoKu...man.... freakin Boku

You know you only have to take the pulley part off right? Not the whole hub assembly. The pulley still does stick pretty good though, mines a 94 and it definitely fought me pretty hard. If you have torches, put a brazing tip on and take the torch to the center where the hub meets the pulley and if you have it set correctly you can heat that b1tch up pretty quick then knock it off without ruining anything, but you gotta know how to use oxy/acetylene torches. The hub on the other hand, go buy the tool, I fought that f'er for over an hour trying all different kinds of gadgets.

This is why I normally never read "WTF" threads. They almost always have a bad start and go downhill.

"Inside jobs" don't come with any guarantees. You have to bear the consequences. That's about all there is to say.

Blown, I did do the opti, for whatever reason it wouldn't come off with just the hub coming off.

?!?!?

Oh well, I'll never own an F-body again and she's long gone.

Flush your own radiator fluid next time rather than being lazy and bringing it to your dad's shop.

Thumbs up Re: got a flush. NOW NEED OPTI WTF!!!!!!

well good news. Some peeps on this post were right. The opti dried out and now the car is running fine. something i dont understand about this part is that I was under the impression that the opti is a sealed unit. how would liquid get inside of it if that was the case?

Some are better sealed than others. Age has a way of making it more prone to infiltration.

Shoebox is right!
about 3-4months ago the rain let loose here and the street flooded but it did not look deep until I went through the intersection and saw the reflection of
my headlights on the body of water.....
Nothing much happened...just Hydrolocked the car but was able to recover by removing plugs and draining out the water from it but the opti was not
hurt at all and I know for a fact it was submerged in dirty a$$ water...
