Got Dragon Fire?

Hey all,

Talked to All Ignition today about their Dragon Fire opti. They say its better than the OEM delco (okay, no really!) and that it'll put out good signals upto 8,000 rpm

http://all-ignition.com/dragon-fire-...uct-flyer.html

anyone take the plunge on this opti yet?

Nah, I rock a MSD pro Billet but they sell a cap and rotor package too.

lmao. I figured I would get such a response. From what i hear that kind of respond is well deserved.. but when i talked to the guy from AI -- he's like lets be honest if you can buy a complete opti for 129 you probably arent getting top notch components.. you get what you pay for.. I agree there.

Better yet, tell us how far out of the driveway you get.

There was already a thread about this...

https://www.camaroz28.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=674610

LOL, there isn't any car in the application data that has a stock torque curve like they show. It is pretty obvious they still have a hard time telling the truth about their products.

Like I said in the other thread, perhaps it is re-branded version of a Dynaspark, but I would never buy anything from All Ignition. If the part were actually good (and if I were inclined to buy one), I would be more likely to buy from another vendor. Reputation is important to me and theirs is in my cellar.

The stock GM Opti puts out a reliable cam postion signal to 8,000RPM - maybe more, but that's all I've ever seen.

Didnt know the stock unit will go reliably to 8K rpm. Im actually stuck because my car wouldnt start.. which i thought was the opti but turned out to be the coil. The opti has some oil in there and the cap and rotor are way gone. Should i replace even though it was working fine?
