Got a cracked rim...

I JB'd the crack to make it hold air... the crack has not spread but I am very cautious when I drive, if I even drive it. Would you suggest getting the crack welded??? Would that make it function as if it was new? I've been looking for an alloy WS6 rim but I can't find one. Not polished, not chrome, straight alloy. Thoughts? Got a rim???

I had a crack in one of my ZR1 rims, had it welded, no problems for over two years.

A cracked rim could come apart at any time. I would not even drive on it. I would think an experienced wheel repair place could take care of it.

I know there are shops that specialize in rim repair. You might check if there is a race car shop in your area that can weld it. I don't think I would let just any shop be welding on alloy aluminum.
