Got the car dynoed....

Went up to Livernois to take advantage of the $50 for 2 pulls on their new Mustang Dyno during their open house. Came away with these results:

260.9rwhp@5000 RPM
294.7rwtq@3000 RPM

All mods are in the sig. I dont know if I should be horribly dissapointed or if its not so bad. I'm assuming the numbers are STD since they just did power pulls with no a/f or anything.

Mustang Dyno's give you "real world" results compared to some others. That's why you may be a little low.

depends on the mustang dyno model though.

should be much higher then that though, my stock was 270 and 305 on a dynojet. (SS, so cold air and exhaust)

If I remember right, the Dynojet's #'s are about 15% higher than the Mustang Dyno...

Not too bad though...What about a tune?

It does sound low since you have Hooker LTs, but it's a Mustang dyno. Next time, take it to a DynoJet with AFR readings.
Does the curve look pretty smooth?

Yeah the curve looks very smooth. I know that the Mustang Dyno would yield lower numbers than a Dynojet but I wasnt expecting that low. I believe it was a Mustang 1750 Dyno.

Yea, it's the dyno then. I was thinking that you may have had some knock retard or ignition problems... A tune will also help since I bet you're running rich at WOT.

Greg Banish from the former Detroit Speedworks was operating the dyno and he said it seemed like I was getting a little knock in the 5kRPM area on the base run but none on the second run.

Knock retard will show as zig-zagging on the curve.
