Got back from maple grove ... is my engine dying?

Alright please read this whole story and give me an opinion if you have one. I just took my car to the track after putting on my torque converter earlier this week. One my first run, I started out okay i thought, but my car just wasnt pulling well after my 60' and my mile per hour was 92 with the mods you see below. PROBLEM! Anyway I figured maybe my car was fine and I just was being too easy and wasnt on the gas like i should have been. Well, my second run was far worse!! 15.3 @ 85!!! On my way back to the pits, It sputtered and died. It turns over still, but makes a whiny squeal coming from the back of the engine I believe. A couple people suggested my flexplate. My car idles low all the time because of my underdrive pulleys, so maybe with the friction of a possibly bent flex plate that caused my engine to sputter and die when I was poking back to the pits? I can only start it with the gas pressed lightly, otherwise it turns over almost enough to start but not quite. Once it starts a that hideous squeek emerges again! I'll try to describe it as best I can if you have any other questions ... any help would be much appreciated...

People seem to talk all the time about getting the converter on correctly. If you don't, I believe it can screw up the tranny pump. I have not actually done one, so I am just passing on what I have read here. Something about 3 clicks or some such thing. You might want to try a search to see what you can come up with.

If u dont, your pump will get crushed when the tranny is bolted up and the car wont move Guess how i know...
