Good Shifter for T-56?

I have a Hurst shifter for my car but the bolts keep coming loose, making shifting a pain in the @$$ at times. Is there anything to do to keep the bolts tight? Or should i get a new shifter altogether? If so, who makes a good shifter?

Put some loctite on the bolts, that will keep em from moving. I have the hurst billet plus for my t56 and it is a great shifter. Great feel, great construction, adjustable stops... and great price. Hope this helps

i have found that a few little welds on the stock shifter gets rid of a LOT of the play (sloppiness) that it had and makes it a VERY solid shifter. just something to think about.

Pro 5.0 will stiffen that up for ya. So will a B&M Ripper.

My vote is for either a Pro 5.0 or a B&M Ripper.

I haven't seen the pro 5.0 shifter but it looks like the B&M is an extremely short throw and really easy to miss gears in.

i went budget and ended up with a great shifter...

factory installed hurst from an SS...$50
lou's short stick brand new...$55

great shifter with short solid throws for $105 all shipping included

if you have the stock stick still, switch that and see if you like it. the rubber bushing on the base is HORRIBLE and sloppy. i have a machined stick for sale if you want it.
