Good Midrange Duration on a 383?

Will a CC 503 duration plus 1.6 RR be sufficient enough for a mild 383 street budget build? I tried searching the site for a while, and cant seem to find the exact answer im looking for. I was persuaded to stay away from the lt4 hotcam. I want a respectable power band, 350HP 400 TQ, with a top rev limit of 6000 rpm. The heads are ported with 2.00 intake, 1.55 exhaust valves.

Why the 383? You can do that with a 350.

Im well aware of that, but believe it or not, the engine package on a 383 is more affordable for me right now than a 355 rebuild.

Well I guess I would do the same thing, except for the mild part.

I understand, this car is my summer driver, and i want to make it last after its overhaul. But just trying to see if the duration of the 503 plus the 1.6 RR is sufficient

If you're looking for a 6 grand cam, check out the Crane 227. JMHO

The XE503 would put it pretty close to that power band. You'd definately have the power you want too. GM846 would be one I'd take a good look at also.
