Is this a good deal on z28 need advice

I work at a dealership and theres a repo camaro I'm thinking about buying. The insides perfect and the body is perfect. It's a 95 z28 6spd all stock. But is smokes a little out the exhaust and the engine might have problems. Its got 100,000 miles but I can get the car for like 4,300 bucks the car drives good but they tell me it might have a bad engine not knowing what "bad engine" means. can the LT1 rebuild easy. I have a 94 6 banger so I dont know much abouyt the LT1.

Have one of the techs at the dealership check it out, man.

If the engine's ok, go for it.

Drop in an LS1 and or a 355 etc. There are some good set-up's i've seen on the boards for sale...

Could be bad rings, and/or could be bad valve seals. For not much more you'd get one without having to "rebuild" it, if you didn't plan to do the labor yourself it would not be worth it IMO.
