good deal?

how does this sound 2.5 in. aluminized piping from y-pipe, flowmaster 40 series muffler, 3 in. aluminized piping from muffler, 4 in. angled chrome tips

for 245 dollars installed

Not bad, but you can get a fully stainless 3" all the way back, straight flow through muffler (no baffles for 'sound'), polished tips and muffler from Magnaflow for around $280ish on eBay.

You'd have to install it yourself, but that's easy. Plus you'd have a system that'll last - aluminized will rust out much quicker than stainless. My old system looked fine on the outside, but when I dropped it, it was rusting all to hell inside. Spend the $ once, don't make the same mistake I did. Go stainless.

thanks, il tell the guy to do stainless. should i have him do 2.5 or 3.0 from the y-pipe?

I'd go 3", but 2.5" may be fine. Someone with more exhaust knowledge will have to chime in to site examples of why you'd go with one or the other.

I'd think the 3" would better support future mods, that's my reasoning anyway
