basically i have an LPE CAI on a stock 96 formula with 6speed.

i am thinking about putting the 93-95 style shorty headers from AS&M with Ypipe going through a cat and into a Random Technology cat back.

would that give me more high RPM HP than jet-hot long tubes through a hooker Ypipe into the same catback?

 

The longtubes will give you more high RPM Hp than the shorties. Not to mention that with the shorties you mentioned running cats but not with the longtubes. No cats will also help on the high end.

 

yeah i'll be running a cat with whatever setup i go with, and a cutout as well. im just afraid that with the car lowered 2inches i'll scrape the crap out of long tubes.

also, any reviews of the random technology cat back? soundwise and performance wise?
