Good Books for LT1 Guys

Just got the following two books:

Rebuilding the LT1/LT4 and The Basics of Engine Blueprinting.

The LT1/LT4 rebuild book is an excellent source of information specifically for the LT1/LT4. The Blueprinting book is a more general book but really explains how an engine is blueprinted and machined very well. Both are excellent reads for anyone considering rebuilding or stroking the 350. I would highly recommend either one.

ditto! I posted the same info a while back, got the book when I did my LT4 conversion, well worth the paper it's printed on. I got mine from walmart on line for around $15.

Very good book.....Helped me alot in my 383 project. I knew what to ask when I went to the machine shop too. That book and the GM shop manuals are all you need....well and this sight of coarse.

Thumbs up

I'm still in the middle of the following book (haven't had time to complete it):

Corvette Fuel Injection & Electronic Engine Control

This book is fantastic. It covers all of the engine management components (computer, sensors, etc) in great detail without being difficult to understand. I remember asking a few questions way back when about how certain things work and getting a hard to understand answer...this book clarified everything. It's pretty easy to read and I'd definately recommend it to anyone wanting to know why the computer and engine function together the way they do.

I'd also suggest John Lingenfelter's book about building small-block Chevy's. It's not specific to LTx motors, but the same basic rules apply to any Gen-I/Gen-II motor.

Any book by David Vizzard on hotrodding the Small Block Chevy is very informative. He builds stuff right and tells you his experiences.
