Good/Bad Consequences to these mods...
Hi guys, trying to see which order, or if at all I should do the following mods, and how will they affect performance? (See current mods in sig.)
1. Going from stock 1.5rr to 1.6 (any brand best for the money?)
a) probably would change out springs at the same time (comp. beehive?)
2. Porting stock intake or splurge for aftermarket intake?
3. Buy AFR 215 heads & have them ported (prolly have to wait on that)
4. Get a more aggressive cam while not getting too lopey (less the better) and keeping it streetable/tame (any make good?)
a) here are my current cam:
Crane blower camshaft (214/222, .488/.509, 112 LSA)
I want to keep the project to under $1,000 for 2 years or so, so the heads are out I think for now. But lemme know whats a good order to go in and what I can expect to see in terms of gains,, and if there are any problems with modifying the components I have now. Thanks
