Going carb with the LT1 few ?'s

First off do you have to buy a special intake? If so can I have a link to that please. And I'm guessing if you do it's just so that you can retain the optispark instead of going to a distributor at the back. If I can do that then I'd just use any SB350 intake. Also will a B & M 144 roots type fit with some cutting to the cowl? I know it's going to be hard to get answers on this any help is appreciated.

Yes you will have to buy a special intake, you cant just get a small block intake for a 350 due to the LT1 heads and the bolt pattern. Go to gmpartsdirect.com they have the intake you will need at a GREAT price. As far as distributor goes you will need to block off exsisting hole with a plate that will also come with the intake manifold.
