GMPP/Proform valve covers?
GMPP/Proform valve covers?
gm part # 12497979 Has anyone ever tried these out on an LT1? I'm just curious if they fit as well as the LT4 valve covers, they are advertised to be 1/4 taller than stock and look very similar to the more expensive LT4s...these are only $129.95 from Scoggin-Dickey. I'm pretty sure they are the same as the Proforms...
Re: GMPP/Proform valve covers?
I've got them on mine (except mine are the chromed aluminum). I had to "massage" the back of the alternator to get them to fit. No big deal...just a die grinder and a flat file.

Re: GMPP/Proform valve covers?
Thanks guys
I think I'm gonna order the black ones today
Do they use a push style oil cap or screw in style? Any other stuff I will need to buy to go with them?
