GMPP/Proform valve covers?

gm part # 12497979 Has anyone ever tried these out on an LT1? I'm just curious if they fit as well as the LT4 valve covers, they are advertised to be 1/4 taller than stock and look very similar to the more expensive LT4s...these are only $129.95 from Scoggin-Dickey. I'm pretty sure they are the same as the Proforms...

Cool I got the

polished aluminum #12497978 cover kit which is taller and says not for LT 1 but fits. Just has another oil fill on driver side. 43,000 miles on em so far so good.

I've got them on mine (except mine are the chromed aluminum). I had to "massage" the back of the alternator to get them to fit. No big deal...just a die grinder and a flat file.

They are push in style. I bought a set of breathers from Billet Specialties, with "Heartbeat" milled in them.
