GM Extreme duty timing chain question??

I am building a 383 LT4 engine, and I am looking into the GM extreme duty chain, part # 12370835.

I noticed at Thunder Racing, they have an oversized crank sprocket to reduce slack in the chain for about 40 bucks. Would this be a good idea to get with the extreme duty chain?? What are the advantages and disadvantages??

Thanks

I bought my LT4ED timing set a bit used and when I put it on, it barely (took me a couple of tries) slipped over the dowel pin cause the chain was tight.

I would say you don't really need it but I guess if you have the money go for it.

Well, if it is that tight then I am not worried one bit. I figured it was just the marketing that was trying to lead me wrong, but I wasn't sure. Plus, the one that comes with the ED chain is a GM one and I trust it MUCH more than the crank sprocket from Thunder.
