GM C5 front brake brackets?

I thought I heard something about C5 brake brackets that GM made that could be used on an LT1 car for upgrading. Anyone have the part number? I wouldn't mind the Bob Bishop brackets but they'd put me out of my price range and I have a seized caliper/warped LF rotor. Thanks!

I have heard of C4->4th gen brackets like this, but coming from GM there is no way they would be cheap.

Nope, not from GM.

Adapting C5 brakes to the front of LT1 (or LS1)F-car requires modifying the knuckles (aka "spindle"), some fabricated brackets, and C5 bolt on parts such as calipers, caliper mounting brackets, rotors and pads, plus various stock and special fasteners and brake lines.

It's not cheap, but it could be packaged for well under a grand.

Well I have the ability to buy some good use calipers and rotors for next to nothing, so I figured if I could get my hands on some adapters, then I would go ahead and get them and put them on. that would cover all the expensive parts

All the info you need on Bobs brackets and it has the part numbers listed. This is definitely in my future.

Hope it works out.

I've been in contact with Bob within the last couple of weeks. He is out of what he calls the first generation brackets and is in the process of making a second generation bracket that he says will be stronger, lighter and less expensive. The new models will also not require modification of the spindles. I would suggest dropping him an email.
