Can you run the cam without it or do you must have it done right away. What i mean is it possible for it it idle without it? thanks

 

some cars run poopy, some run fine,you should be able to get by w/o a tune for a while.
it will most likely KILL your fuel mileage.

 

You can run it w/o a tune... you have a 3000 stall and 3.73's so you shouldn't have any drive ability problems or anything like that.


I actually want to throw a stock tune back on my car and take it to the track (I have an 847 as well) to see how it does. Only because I have had two different tunes on my car (PCM4Less and MadZ28(current tune)) and my car seemed to run better with the stock tune on it. When I had the stock tune on my car it seemed to run better (faster and harder) than with either one of my mail order tunes. With the stock tune my car would start to spin the tires, and white smoke them a little, at the TOP of 2nd gear.


I say your SHOULD run fine with your stall and gears, at the time I had the stock tune my car had a yank 2800 and motive 3.73's and it ran pretty darn good.

 

Oh and it got about the same, if not better, gas mileage as it does with either of my two tunes.

 

what are you asking,

will it run? yes it will run as long as you leave the stock injectors in there untill it is tuned

will it run good? no

 

Guess you didn't read my post, mine FELT like it ran better on the stock tune... but then again every car is going to be different.
