Re: GM 847 cam?
I like it.
There is plenty of drama to be found here as far as a cam being too big/small, so I won't get into that.
My biggest word of advice though would be about your bottom end. This is not a freakishly huge cam, but none the less you need to be prepared to spin it to 6500+. Which basically means if you are on a stock high mile bottom end you need a miracle.
It feels a little sluggish below 3k. But my tq curve on the dyno was flat pretty much all the way across. 4-5 it pulls pretty good. 5k+ it screams, so to really enjoy it you have to spin it.
People have made 360 cam only with the cam though.
Is this a track car or DD? A cam this big needs a decent amount of gear, and with a 3 speed I wouldn't want to drive it on the highway with 3.73s or 4.10s.

Re: GM 847 cam?
The car is mainly track driven, with weeked trips but not far distances, I have a 3000 Stall hopefully that might help with the sluggish below 3K, the car has 56K miles on it and has been running pretty strong, untill recently, I have timing issues, but the cam specs look promising and with a full head port job and LT4 port matched intake manifold I am sure to get great gains!
Re: GM 847 cam?
Go for it. Of the several I have tried, it is my favorite off the shelf cam.
When I say sluggish, it is still more power than stock, just you feel a harder pull up top than down low. Which is kinda obvious anyways with a larger cam.
