I am probably going to get the gm 846 camshaft. I have looked at all the sites with sound clips and I can't seem to find any of this cam. Thanks ahead for any replies.

 

How come not more people go with this cam?

look into a custom cam. fms did mine and i love it, beats the hell out of my previous 306 cam, and is basicly the same sive.

 

I don't have the extra cash to go custom right now. I will when I build a 383. It seems to me everyone go with the 305,503. The GM 846 seems to have better specs. In my opinion. I'm not a big fan of more duration is better for a street car.

 

talk to futural motorsports, there custom cams are only like 275 or so. not much more then a off the shelf grind.

Thats going to be really mild in a 383. You should check out the Impala SS boards, as the 846 cam is very poplular over there.

For the most part, they are a much much more conservative crowd than over here.

 

I will run a diffrent cam when I go 383.
