GM 1.6 Roller Rockers?????????

Are the gm performance 1.6 roller rockers the same for years 1987 through to 1997.
I'm looking at purchasing some and the guy says that they fit 87 and up???
Is this true?????

Built a '89 TPI motor with dad once....used the GMPP 1.6 RRs....no prob.

They are regular old SBC stuff, so those will work.

I believe that they will work, the main issue being that they are designed for clearance for centerbolt style valve covers, and they are "self aligning". (if they are self aligning, you will need to install a LT4 knock module)
If they are not self aligning then you will need guide plates and hardened push rods.
With any higher ratio rocker installation, new springs and retainers are recomended and you should always check all installed clerances (make sure there is no coil bind etc..)

Yeah.. that sounds right. I forget the exact year but, it was mid-80's when GM went to self-aligning rockers. That is the key. Those are the ones I have.
