Getting my car scanned

Where in chicago can I get my car scanned. I went to autozone and they told me that they don't have the tool to scan an OBDI engine. Damn!

How much does it usually cost?

Any local GM dealer or independent shop with good electrical diagnosis equipment can do it. Look for a price of between 50 and 75 large just for hooking up.

Better way to spend you money.... buy a cable from AKM Electronics, and download FreeScan (free) or TTS DataMaster (free for up to 20 uses) to your laptop.

Not to mention you can start tuning your car with it to, either with an e-mail package through a vendor or trying to figure it out by yourself...
