Question Getting 350hp???

I have a stock 94 Trans am, M6. I am trying to get at least 350rwhp and somewhere around 380tq.

Right now I only have a 160 stat, SLP loudmouth, doing the free mods, getting the SLP cold air intake, probably going to port the MAF.

What else will I need to do to reach my goal? I'm going to keep the 3.42s that I have now, I plan on making this a street car not track.

Also need a cam choices, right now I'm looking at the LT4 hot cam, springs, hardened push rods and 1.6rr. I heard that the hot cam was the best choice for a street car. This car is not a daily driver, it's only driven on the weekends.

I'm going to say:

Headers, 1 3/4 midlength or longtubes, either one.
Catback system
Cams like the Comp Cams XE224/230, or bigger
1.6 Roller Rockers, pushrods...
Fully ported and polished heads
A good tune

The HP will be easy to achieve, it's the 380 TQ that will be more difficult.

Yup a good set of P&P heads and a nice cam to match. Mix that with a free flowing exhaust and I bet you could get that with a good tune. CAI wouldn't hurt either.

I already have the SLP loudmouth and I order the SLP CAI, headers and cam/head package is next.

What kind of tq do you think that I would get out of that setup?

to hit 350rhwp, you shouldnt need P+P heads!
all you should need is a cam and associated boltons and some dyno time accompanied with some good tuning

As stated earlier. Getting the 350hp is the easier part. Getting 380tq is what's hard. You won't do it without a good set of P&P heads. Get LT headers next, then save your cash to invest in a good heads/cam combo. You should be there for sure with a good tune.

Yeah, the 350 rwhp can be done with stock heads, but it's not easy. The 380 rwtq is next to impossible with stock heads, unless of coarse you want a little NO2.

Nope, no forced induction or NO2.

Yeah you can probably get around 350hp with stock heads, but getting the high tq #'s isn't happening. If you just want that much hp without touching the heads just get all the bolt on's you can and get a very good cam with a very good tune and I think you could.
