Need help on parts choice of a build on a 350hp TBI motor...
I'm going to do a build of a 350hp 350 for a friends car.. it's a 92 tbi.. and he want's to stay tbi so he doesn't have to change harness/computer...
Has anyone done a build as of recently with a TBI making ~350hp...
it's going to be a daily driver so it must have street manners and work well with stock exh. manifolds, and only a Flowmaster on a stock exhaust.
As for engine parts, he's open to anything
Or if you know an engine package I could buy for ~2000.. that would work too..
Thanks for any help

It is definetely possible to build a 350 HP TBI motor, but it's going to take a good bit of work. There are some more things that I need to know, though:
1. Do you know how to burn your own PROMs? If you or no one else that you know knows how to do it, forget about the motor right now. The car will be way past stock and you will need an experienced tuner to get everything right, and it will take many burns to get it right. No mail-order or TBIchips.com chip will ever come close.
2. Do you want 350 HP at the flywheel or at the rear wheels? This will determine a lot.
3. Trying to build a motor with 350 HP with the stock manifolds and a basically stock exhaust is not wise. The motor is going to be choking with stock exhaust. Even stock cars a restricted. You'll have to build the motor with way more than 350 HP to get it to 350 HP, if you get what I mean.
4. Is $2000 all you have to work with? That's not a lot to try and achieve 350 HP.
Now, the only crate motor that I know of that will pretty much bolt right in and run with TBI is the GM Goodwrench Truck 350 Crate Engine ( www.jegs.com ). It's $1669.99. You'll have to get a 350 knock sensor, 350 injectors, 350 ESC module, and 350 PROM/chip. It's still far from 350 HP, though.

More induction, that is what you need. I have a Holley 670 cfm throttle body (for sale , hardly used, will bolt right to the intake, I'll take 200 for it, they sell for well over 300). I also have an ecm and custom chip that will work. I will take 50 for them. Email me if interested, kennethboggs@charter.net
