General question on autozone flywheel

Who here has used the autozone LT1 flywheel?

Did you have to do anything to it to make it work? How's it worked out for you?

I would spend the extra money and go to napa and get a good part, with autozone you never know, some people will say that they work, others will say they sucked, but as previously stated a napa flywheel is a little insurance and one way to be sure you won't be pulling it out in a couple months

Napa doesn't have one for the LT1.

This isn't an autozone brand flywheel. It's called "standard flywheels." It's sold at murrays, oreillys, autozone, and advance auto.

Why don't you just have your original resurfaced?

It was resurfaced once, and the SPEC 3 I just pulled out was a puck disc and ate into it pretty good.

I'm sure I could have resurfaced it but to do so was $40. I figured I'd spend the extra loot and get a new one.

The GM one you probably have will be a better piece than whatever Chinese POS they will sell you. We have the same problem up here in the cold white north... Chinese parts everywhere! I`ve worked in shops for years, and if I only learned one thing, its DON`T buy parts like this cheap.. you get what you pay for - brake rotors that are warped before the pads are even broken in, and flywheels that cause a vibration or warp before the clutch is broken in.

I`d use a resurfaced junkyard GM flywheel before a new chinese one.

Just my 0.02

I believe it's reman'd from a core.

I read in a thread from a few years ago that it did say Mexico on it. Not sure if this is still the case.

This is the item description:
Standard Flywheels are milled on computerized CNC lathes producing accurate, close tolerance parts. Ring gears are reversed, reconditioned or replaced.
