I am putting a gen1 383 in a 97 camaro do i use gen1 block mounts

 

I think you will need to use the lt1 motor mounts, as I believe they are specific to the lt1, but the location and shapes are very similar to a gen 1 sbc. I just replace my lt1 motor mounts, and the listing for them was only for a lt1 motor, not a generic listing.
