US Strange makes 3.42s and 3.73s for 2 series carriers. My buddy has a set and they are nice and quiet. And plenty strong, unless your pushing some serious power with slicks.

Dude, what kinda power are we taliking about? Get a take off diff from SLP ( series 3) and add the 3.73 and solid pinon spacer, rear-end girdle. Everytihng under $400. That's about the most you can do with a 10 bolt. No need to buy Moser axels, since the gears are the first to go. Higher number gears are the weakest. I am orginally a 4x4 guy. Trust me. The higher the number, the lower the ratio, the weaker the gear! Taken straight out of the pages of "Off-Road" magazine, try- www.precisiongear.com or www.ring-pinion.com or www.drivetrainspecialists.com

If you have a series 2 carrier then I would highly recommend going with Strange gears. No need to upgrade to a series 3 carrier unless you really want to run Motive gears.
