Gears

Can anyone help me out with what gears could my car possible have? The car is a 1996 z28 bone stock but not sure about the rear. I'am running 2300rpm at 70mph with an aod.

Look at the shifter column. If it reads
P
R
N
OD
D
2
1
then you have 3.23s. If not, have 2.73s. Assuming the previous owner didn't change the gears.

check your rpo's
gu4 is 273's
gu5 is 323's
gu6 is 342s

or it could be..
gu5 is 308s
gu6 is 323s

i cant really remember, do a search, youll find it

sounds to me like you have 3.23's.... i was at 2000rpm @ 60mph when i had my 3.23's, so i figure thats about where you would be... not possitive, but im guessin that you have the 3.23's...

Thanks for the help. It looks like I'am working with 323s. How much difference has anybody found with 373s? Are 410s too much for the a4?
