I was wondering what the stock read end ratio is on a 94 Z A4? And what would be the best gear to put in it?

 

If you can manually select 1st gear you have 3.23s, if not then 2.73s. Most people do 3.42s or 3.73s in an auto, I'd say do the 3.73s. I love mine, great acceleration and it didn't kill my gas milage as bad as most people say.

 

well i have 2.73's at the moment, first i ordered the 3.42's then i changed my mind and switched to 3.23's, ill let you know how they turn out when i put them in, i'm only going 3.23's because i do lots of highway driving and like to keep my rpm's as low as i can, since we are on this topic do you guys think ill notice any difference switching from 2.73's to 3.23's, i am very happy with 2.73's really, to me thats already plenty of power but im only swaping gears because my rear end is whining like crazy.
