gearing?

hey guys, hopefully this will be quick and painless, I just bought a 95 formula, The guy before me put a 12 bolt in with 373 gears. Are the factory rear end gears 373's or 343's? I'm trying to figure out if my speedo is off because of this or just from him putting in silver face gauges. Thanks a lot!

If its an auto, it came with 2.73s or 3.23s. All six speed cars had 3.42s.

hey guys, thanks a lot for the help, It is an M6. So I guess that means the speedo is off from the gear change. Better get er in to re-tune for the 3.73's. Like I said, pretty simple and painless.

If you have an M6, your door code should show GU6 for 3.42 gears.

didn't really see the door code, but i'm sure it's there. Not sure what i was looking for. Another little question, like I said it is an m6, when I was under the car yesterday changing my oil, i noticed it had a "use dextron II ATF fluid only" sticking on the trans housing... do they just use the same housing for autos or manuals?

Alot of manuals also use ATF, I do not own a m6 though, but if it was me, id do what it says, maybe someone with an m6 can chime in.
